Episode XX of our ‘Meet the Team’ leadership spotlights. Today, I got the opportunity to interview Matt Finkle, nominated by Chuck Kuon. Matt is the Rental Specialist at our Albany Branch. On Facebook we run an album called “Faces & Places of AH Harris” and we also feature snapshots of our crew on Instagram. But we want to give some insights into who our company leaders are, what their background is and include some ‘personal touch’ that goes beyond what you would find on LinkedIn. Let’s hear it from Matt!
Good morning Matt! Can you remind myself and out audience of your role at A.H. Harris?
“My role as Rental Project Manager is to process the paperwork from start to finish on many of the larger forming and shoring rental jobs in the company to make sure it runs smooth as possible. This includes obtaining the signed documentation needed, invoicing, return processing, and logistics. Also included in my duties is processing all of the CAPX adjustments in the company when we move new material into our rental fleet, creating rental parts in the system, and running form rental inventories.”
How long have you been with the organization?
“I have been part of the Harris Family since April of 2007. Hard to believe its been 8 great years already.”
Have you always had a career in construction?
“Prior to joining the Harris Family, I held a Store Manager position with one of the largest retail chains in the country. My experiences in that position have been a building block for my career with Harris. For example it gave me management skills, and showed me the importance of providing the best customer service possible which is what we strive for each day here at Harris.”
Seeing as you have been with Harris for almost 10 years, what does “Harris Pride” mean to you?
“To me ‘Harris Pride’ means going above and beyond to get the job done. It’s the Harris family working together collectively to service the everyday challenges that arise in the construction industry to meet both our customers expectations and our own expectations.”
What is the one thing you want our customers to know?
“I would like our customers to know they are in good hands when doing business with Harris. We have some of the most experienced and tenured associates in the construction field. When it comes to forming and shoring we have seen it all and can come up with a solution to get the job done.”
Thanks so much for your time Matt, who would you like to nominate for our next 'Meet the Team' spotlight?
"How about Lou Viscarrondo who runs our largest forming location in Westfield."
Great, I look forward to featuring him in our next blog. Thanks for your time and most importantly, thanks for all you do!
