A.H. Harris Construction Supplies, a leading distributor of specialty construction products, announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement with HD Supply Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: HDS), one of the largest industrial distributors in North America. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018, upon the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including the obtainment of required regulatory approvals.
Founded in 1916, A.H. Harris supplies high-quality construction products and equipment for contractors, construction companies and government entities in the concrete construction, repair & restoration, road & bridge, rebar & rebar fabrication, waterproofing and glazing markets. The company represents more than 500 manufacturers and 13,000 products and consists of 600+ experienced associates and 50+ convenient locations serving 14 states.
Recapitalized by Frontenac in 2015, A.H. Harris has since achieved strong organic growth and completed the transformational acquisition of Kenseal Construction Products, a family-owned leading distributor of infrastructure, waterproofing, glass and glazing, air and vapor barriers, concrete repair and masonry products.
