At AH Harris – Construction Supplies, we take great pride in the projects we are involved with, especially the ones where we have the opportunity to help a community after a natural disaster. In October of 2012, Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey leaving millions of people homeless and causing $20 billion in property damage. Since the storm hit, the Built it Back program has been working diligently helping New Yorkers living in communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy rebuild their homes and improve the resiliency of their communities.
Having a strong presence in New Jersey, Account Manager, Wesley Wells our of our Parlin, NJ branch, jumped at the opportunity to provide the correct the correct products in order to rebuild the community. For the past two years, we’ve been supplying a wide range of products to over 100 houses. The houses that Harris help rebuild and raise are located at the shore areas of Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens. Our team worked closely with C.A.C. Industries, Inc, a leading site-development/utility contracting firm in New York City. To restore these homes AH Harris provided the following:
|Stay form for grade beams||Straight stock rebar (plain & epoxy coated)|
|Fabricated rebar stirrups for columns||Harris Ply|
|Form oil||Nail stakes|
|Masonry tools||Vibratory plates|
|CTS Rapid Set V/O patch||Truss mesh|
Since the Hurricane hit five years ago, Build it Back has helped over 10,000 homeowners and landlords rebuild their homes. With the support from construction businesses, Build it Back is anticipating more progress to be made in 2018. At AH Harris, we are proud to provide materials for a program that is dedicated to helping this affected by this natural disaster. We look forward to seeing the progress of homes and business as re-construction continues!
At Harris – Construction Supplies we take great pride in finding the best products and solutions for our customers. Our wide-range of knowledge and years of experience, provide us with the expertise to offer the correct resources to make projects successful!
