Morning Joe, what is your role at A.H. Harris? Director of Strategy
How long have you been with the company? 2 years
What's the most satisfying aspect of your job? The most satisfying aspects of my role are the people, being able to be a part of something larger, collaborating with our associates to make a positive impact and grow our core.
Do you have a hobby you'd like to tell us about? In my free time, I enjoy riding my motorcycle, spending time with my family, and being outdoors.
What is the most challenging aspect of your job? I do my best to look at every challenge as an opportunity to learn, grow and achieve. With that said, I believe my largest opportunity is staying creative. We work in an ever changing society that often times requires instant gratification, which I believe takes an immense amount of creativity to encourage new ideas to promote a fun, productive and rewarding work environment.
What are the top five things on your bucket list?
1: Make my wife happy!
2: Compete in a top fuel drag race event
3: Fly as a passenger with the Blue Angels
4: Adopt a child
5: Spend my retired life traveling around the world
What are your greatest treasures? My family and friends. My role at A.H.Harris requires a lot of travel, my family and friends are who support me daily and keep me centered during my time at home!
Who are the heroes in your life? My daughter, Kali. Kali, is a 5 year old going on 30 who is a vibrant, knowledge-seeking being who has no shortage of questions nor answers and definitely keeps me on my toes. It is refreshing to reflect on why we all do what we do each day, Kali is my reason!
What is your greatest accomplishment at Harris? Getting Hired! [laughs]
What is something working here has taught you? Stamina, often times we find ourselves racing from one task or goal to the next without the sight of our end target. Over the last two years I have had the opportunity to work with fantastic leadership & support teams to maintain achievable speeds (though challenging), realizing each small victory or opportunity while staying laser focused on the end goal!
What is one fun fact about you? My first job in this industry was at a small family owned operation in Indianapolis, I took on the role as a yard associate working with concrete forms. I spent most days cleaning, repairing and organizing the equipment for the next customer
Thank you for your time and for all you do at Harris!
