Welcome to Part 51 of our 'Meet the Team' series. Today we had the chance to talk with Account Manager, Lynn Decker. Lynn covers the entire state of New Jersey focusing on the industrial sector of A.H. Harris. Let's hear more from Lynn!
Hello Lynn, thanks for talking with us today! What is your role at Harris?
I am an Account Manager here at A.H. Harris. I focus on Industrial which works with Municipalities, Schools, Healthcare and Manufacturing in the entire state of New Jersey. In addition, I work with subs like Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing to expand our product mix on the jobsite. I also work within a small territory in the middle of the state to work with Site Contractors, Excavators and Concrete Contractors.
What lead you to a career with Harris?
A friend referred me here that I worked with at a previous construction equipment manufacturer.
What was your first job ever?
Before college while still in high school I worked at the Englishtown Auction for a food cart business. After graduating from college, I worked for a manufacturers rep firm in the consumer electronics industry in sales and marketing.
Describe Harris in three words
Friends. Family. Pride.
What is your biggest accomplishment at Harris so far?
Creating awareness and building a new market that recognizes A.H. Harris as more than just forming and shoring.
What is something working at Harris has taught you?
‘No order too small’ because they can lead to the big ones, but work to develop relationships with the larger customers to get the biggest bang for your buck.
So far, what has been your favorite memory at Harris?
The Summit when we won GMA of the year (2016). I also made forecast the year we won which made me feel like I really contributed to that.
What does Harris Pride mean to you?
Doing the right thing every time! Helping out whenever humanly possible, but mostly being outward facing. That means, looking out to meet the customers needs and not getting so hung up on internal struggles.
