Hi Lin! How are you? Could you let us know what your role is at Harris?

I’m great, thank you! I am the Rental Administrator for our NNE region (Northern New England).

What lead you to a career with Harris?

I was working within the construction & home improvement industry for many years, which helped prepare me to join the Harris Pride back last year!

Glad to have you on our team! Describe Harris in three words:

Responsibility. Dedication. Commitment.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Harris so far?

My biggest accomplishment at Harris so far is having been reliable to my fellow associates and customers. My Account Managers, FSD Specialists, and customers know they can trust and rely on me to do whatever it takes to get the job done!

What is something working at Harris has taught you?

Harris has taught me to never give up! It took me a lot longer than I thought it would to understand the aspects of being a Rental Administrator. I continue to learn more every day thanks to Chuck Kuon, Director of Rental Assets & Administration, my fellow RA’s, and those special individuals that have supported and encouraged me when I felt like a failure.

Harris has a great supporting team behind it! So far, what has been your favorite memory at Harris?

I attended a hands on training class lead by Russ Tooker, our Sales Manager from Albany, NY. Being the only female, I was welcomed as one of the guys and treated like a true part of the team. I learned so much about what I am renting to customers, which has been very beneficial to my position.

What does Harris Pride mean to you?

No matter how big the mountain may seem, if you push through the hurdles, you will get over that mountain!

What’s the greatest bit of advice a Harris employee has ever given you?

“Know in your heart that you do the best you can do each and every day because you need to respect yourself. Don’t let what other people think impact you. We must surround ourselves with positive influences”

What is one important skill every person should have?

Everyone should get their hands dirty! You can’t understand this industry until you are willing to do some manual labor.

That is certainly an important skill in this industry! What is one of the things on your bucket list?

I have never sailed a boat. There is a definite art to understanding the currents and how to position the sails to optimize the wind that attracts me. The peacefulness of sailing on the water without any motorized assistance…it’s so unlike the hustle of everyday life.

Thank you Lin for allowing us to speak with you! You certainly have some great adventures ahead of you!
