Hi Harry! What is your role at Harris?

I am part of the Inside Sales Team in our new store in Chciopee, MA. My role here at Harris is to fulfill our customers’ needs and to answer as many question I can in order to provide them with the right resources and to complete their jobs in a timely fashion.

What lead you to a career with Harris?

What lead me to Harris was my ability to adapt and learn quickly. I attended school for architecture and design at Hartford State Tech which helped me establish a career in construction. When the economy started getting bad in 2008, I realized I needed to look to the future and establish myself because being self-employed wasn’t cutting it anymore. John Morin, former Branch Manager of Newington, CT took me under his wing and saw my potential and ability to communicate with our customer. 6 years later, here I am in the Chicopee branch and I love it! I owe John Morin everything for being able to trust and believe in me as an individual and as a friend.

We are glad to have you, Harry! What was your first job ever?

My first job was actually as a dish washer at Shady Glen in Manchester, CT. To this day I still find myself stopping in for their legendary burgers and fries!

Yum! Describe Harris in three words.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Harris so far?

My biggest accomplishment with Harris is being a part of the construction that makes Connecticut what it is today and what it will be in the future. There are so many projects that I have had the ability to be a part of and I feel so proud to see our home and state prosper.

What is something working at Harris has taught you?

TEAM WORK! We have to stick together because our bond within the company should always be positive and if we don't fulfill our customers’ requirements and needs then we don't succeed. We brace it with confidence and pride. We make our customers feel as if they are part of our team and company.

So far, what has been your favorite memory at Harris?

When I first started we were all invited to the company picnic at High Meadow Resort in Granby, CT. It’s a great outdoor place to take the family too! I appreciate all the people behind the scenes and all the hard work they do for all of us to enjoy it with our families. We should give the people who make it happen a round of applause! Thank you so much for the things you accomplish and for the memories that will never be forgotten here with A.H. Harris & Sons!

What does Harris Pride mean to you?

What Harris Pride means to me is that no matter how difficult things can be or how simple it can turn into, we stand together in this industry. We may have competitors, but our people at A.H. Harris are one of the best in the industry. Write about them! HARRIS PRIDE!

 Anything else about you?

I just would like to say, never give up, never let anyone discourage you from what you think is the right way and go with your gut feelings because majority of the time those feelings are on point. That's how I've lived my life and if it feels right go for it! Where there's a will there's a way, head high with Pride!

What an awesome interview! Thank you so much, Harry! You are a great aspect of this company.
