In order to support efforts for the expansion of mass transit in North Carolina’s central region, Raleigh Union Station is under construction. The station will act as a multi-modal transit center connecting passengers to various transportation services. This facility is expected to alleviate congestion and land development concerns and provide a transportation hub to assist in revitalizing downtown Raleigh and its Warehouse District. The station is on schedule to be fully operational in early 2018.
Kenseal Construction Products, A Division of AH Harris had the opportunity to support this project by supplying specialty construction materials to multiple contractors in the Raleigh area. With a centrally located warehouse and multiple delivery vehicles, the Kenseal team, under the direction of James Clark, Outside Sales Representative with assistance from our AH Harris partners, fully supported our valued customers.
Starting with sitework, Kenseal provided #4 and #5 rebar sticks to reinforce the concrete structure. From there, the team then supplied Pecora 890, Pecora 895 and Emseal Expansion Joints for the curtain wall.
The Raleigh Union Station structure, platforms and parking facilities are also required to meet all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations. Kenseal offers a variety of products to fulfill ADA regulations. For this particular project, our team supplied ADA Solutions, Inc. Tiles, which are tactile warning surfaces.
Overall, Kenseal, alongside its partner AH Harris, have the specialty construction materials you need - Division 3, Division 7 and more. We pride ourselves on having what you need, when you need it!
