A.H. Harris Branch Spotlight - Cranston, Rhode Island

After years of covering the Rhode Island market through our Medfield, MA (now Plainville, MA) location, A.H. Harris Construction Supplies opened its Rhode Island Branch in February of 1995 on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick, RI. Twenty years and two location changes later, we have gone from a modest 4,000 SF building to our current 17,000 SF store and warehouse at 30 Freeway Drive in Cranston where we have been serving our customers from since 2008.

A.H. Harris Branch Spotlight - Long Island City (Queens), NY

Our AH Harris Queens store is located off of Borden Ave, just one block from the East River ferry landing and a mere stone throw away from I495 / Queens Midtown tunnel. Our store, formerly of Barker Steel which we acquired that year, opened in June of 2012 with a full line of concrete materials including commercial and residential forming/shoring equipment and accessories. A small but effective team of about 9 folks help branch manager James run our operations: 2 inside sales associates, 2 warehouse associates, 3 outside account managers and 2 drivers for our 2 trucks with additional options if needed.

At the southern tip of Connecticut and the doorstep of New York metro lies our Harris Stamford store. We moved from an 8000sf warehouse to a 10,000sf facility in 2004 to accommodate for the increase in construction activity and building supplies demand in the area. We built a new showroom in 2014 and increased our warehouse capacity by an additional 150 pallets. We are conveniently located at 226 Selleck Street, only 2 blocks away from I-95 at exit 6. We cover Fairfield, CT, Westchester County and Putnam County. Our team offers custom and quick turnaround for rebar fabricating up to about 10 tons. Larger orders are handled through our sister company ‘HarMac Rebar & Steel’ which has 2 plants nearby in Sayreville New Jersey and Fryeburg Maine.

A.H. Harris Branch Spotlight – Portsmouth, NH

AH Harris in Portsmouth has been serving the Seacoast region of New Hampshire for almost 40 years. Our current location at 255 West Rd. was built to suite in 1989 and has gone through some major renovations to allow us to grow along with customer demand. Fun Fact - the contractor who won the job to pour our foundation actually purchased 200 brand new Steel-ply panels from us to do the job! Our building is currently 12,000sf large and our yard used for storage is roughly 75,000sf. We are strategically located one block off the historic highway Rt.1 and less than a mile from Rt.95. We are easily accessible to other major highways Rt.16 (also known as The Spaulding Turnpike) which heads North and Rt.111/Rt.101 which heads West of us. Our location is conveniently positioned to deliver products from Southern Maine to Northern Massachusetts on a regular basis with maximum efficiency and convenience to handle all of our customer’s building supply demands. Every Monday we dedicate one truck to make a Northern run up into the White Mountain/Lakes region of NH, and every Tuesday and Thursday we dedicate a truck to bring our construction materials into Southern Maine.
