When working on a road construction site, it is easy to get so lost in the work that your safety and the safety of those around you can fall out of focus. However, the truth is road construction is dangerous work. In 2015, there were 700 motor vehicle traffic crashes in the United States, which is the equivalent of about 1.9 work zone crashes per day across the country. These crashes not only are a danger to the workers, but also the drivers navigating through the work zones. Luckily, there are ways to decrease the occurrences of these incidents. We have been at Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley for 5 years now, continuing to service Westchester County, The Bronx, and some northern parts of Manhattan with pick up business from the Tri-state area. Keeping up with high delivery demand we’ve upgraded to a CDL flat bed with 30,000lb cap. We pride ourselves on our great customer service and quick turn around on orders. We currently have 2500+ days without a lost time accident and safety is our number one concern everyday.
Along the Connecticut coast line you'll find AH Harris & Kenseal of New Haven. We are located at the intersecting routes I91 & I95 at the base of the Q-Bridge (which, by the way, our concrete forms helped build!). We opened the facility in 2010 with only 3 employees and 1 delivery truck. The New Haven location turned quickly into a central hub that now supplies 5 other AH Harris locations (Newington, Stamford, Chicopee, Fairfield & Ardsley NY) with building material and construction equipment. Our team now consists of 25 employees between AH Harris & Kenseal personnel, a tractor trailer, a form yard with commercial forms to rent or purchase along with 3 delivery trucks equipped with lifts to load I unload material to meet the demand of all the construction activity in the state. We came a long way!
